TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to CS Fire and Electrical. These Terms of Service govern your use of our services, including any related maintenance, installation, or inspection services, as well as your use of our website.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

CS Fire and Electrical provides the following services:

  • Installation, maintenance, and commission of fire alarm systems.

  • Installation, maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers.

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of emergency lighting.

  • Installation and repair of access control and door entry system.

  • Installation, maintenance and inspection of intruder alarm systems.

  • Installation, maintenance of CCTV systems.

  • Fire safety inspections and assessments.

  • Emergency electrical and fire alarm services.

Additional services may be offered and are subject to separate agreements.

Quotes and Pricing

  • Quotes: We provide quotes for services based on the information you provide. Any modifications to the scope of work may result in an updated quote.

  • Pricing: Pricing for services will be agreed upon in writing before the commencement of work. All prices are in GBP

  • Additional Costs: Any additional work or unforeseen issues that arise during the performance of services may incur extra costs, which will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.

Scheduling and Service Delivery

  • Scheduling: Appointments will be scheduled at mutually agreed-upon times. Delays or rescheduling may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, supply shortages, or emergencies.

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, please provide at least 5 working days notice. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

  • Completion: We aim to complete services within the estimated time frame. However, unforeseen circumstances may require more time, and you will be informed accordingly.

Warranties and Liability

  • Warranty: We offer a warranty on our products we newly installed for a period of 1 year from the date of installation. This warranty covers defects in parts we provided but does not cover damage due to misuse, wear and tear, or acts of nature.

  • Third-Party Products: Any warranties for third-party products installed are subject to the manufacturer’s terms. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects. Labour will be chargeable.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, CS Fire and Electrical is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to our services or your use of our website.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Access to Property: You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the areas of your property or your managed property where services are to be performed.

  • Compliance with Laws: You are responsible for ensuring that the services requested comply with all applicable local laws and regulations. CS Fire and Electrical will advise and recommend solutions but is not responsible for obtaining permits.

Payment Terms

  • Payment Due: Payment for services is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late Payments: Any payments not received within 14 days from the invoice date may incur interest at the rate of 5% per month. Additionally, failure to pay result in the suspension of future services.

  • Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers and online payment via link attached to our invoices.

Emergency Services

  • Availability: Emergency call outs are available 24/7 for fire alarm system to contracted customers. Standard rates apply for in hours emergency call outs, while emergency out of hours incur additional charges. (In hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. any times out of these times are classed as out of hours emergency call out. This time may include December 24th-31st)

  • Safety Considerations: If a engineer identifies a serious safety risk, the customer may be required to sign a waiver or agree to immediate action to mitigate the risk.

Use of Website and Online Tools

  • Website Use: Your use of our website is subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You agree to use the website for lawful purposes only.

  • Intellectual Property: All content, including text, images, logos, and design, on the website is the property of CS Fire and Electrical Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Termination of Service

CS Fire and Electrical reserves the right to terminate or suspend service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. This includes failure to pay for services or violations of these Terms.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CS Fire and Electrical and its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services or any breach of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

CS Fire and Electrical reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and the "Effective Date" at the bottom of this page will be updated. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
